Physical exercise is one of the fundamental pillars of a healthy lifestyle. Along with a balanced diet it offers important cardiovascular health benefits.

At GO fit we have a step by step physical exercise programme called Life Cholesterol to improve levels of cholesterol which we recommend you combine with the recommendations of our nutritional specialist.

The Life Cholesterol programme consists of a combination of cardiovascular exercises of medium intensity (bike, cross trainer, rowing machine, treadmill) and long duration (40-60 minutes/session) a minimum of 3 days a week.

The Life Cholesterol step by step physical exercise programme  includes, first, an evaluation of physical condition and biometric study performed by a fitness trainer, along with a consultation with our nutritional specialist to develop good dietary habits that have an effect on reducing LDL Cholesterol (or bad cholesterol).

Different scientific studies, among them one published by the University of Tokyo which reviewed 25 studies, conclude that the relationship between physical exercise and the improvement in cholesterol levels is very high, increasing the ratio of HDL Cholesterol, better known as "good cholesterol" to LDL Cholesterol, known as "bad cholesterol".

Regular, gradual physical exercise improves our HDL values while at the same time an appropriate diet decreases levels of LDL. The combination of both results in a fundamental improvement in the incidence of cholesterol for a person's health.
